Andy Freeman has been involved with music his entire life, from picking up his dad's acoustic guitar at age 11, to owning and operating Mayday Sound Studio in Atlanta, GA from 2003-2007. He was mentored in the recording arts by Matt Goldman (Underoath, Copeland), a
childhood friend. Matt taught him the basics of getting great sounds, and how to make sure that the band being recorded leaves with not only a great record, but plenty of great experiences and stories for the folks back home.
Andy works hard, fast, and with good humor, getting the band to sound their best. He believes that a band should sound like the music that it's creating: a metal band needs to sound like they're jumping out of the speakers to burn your house down, and a singer-songwriter should invite you into his or her world. Andy believes that one size does not fit all, and tailors his in-studio approach to each act. As a testament to this approach, he now has satisfied clients and, indeed, friends on both sides of the country.
He lives in San Francisco with his wife and beagle.

There, he and Daniel Sams opened a community-style home studio, where he worked hard to maintain a relaxed, yet focused recording environment.

Since he was a child, Jeff Kahn has been a musician. He grew up studying classical voice and has even had the privilege of singing on the stage of Carnegie Hall. He plays some guitar, piano, and mandolin, but his passion has been singing. (He’s actually a great singer, but that’s not where his ambition lies…)
Toward the end of his first year in college, Jeff started to concentrate on more than just performance. He found he was interested in what made the music on records sound so real, as if you were in the room with the instrument.
After graduating from the audio production program from Butler University, Jeff interned at Prairie Sun in Cotati, CA. Upon completion of the internship, he served as Studio Manager before moving to San Francisco to work with Bay Area Tone.
Jeff has worked in all aspects of the recording industry. He has worked with many genres of music including folk, rock, classical, a cappella, reggae, hip-hop, and R&B.
